Our approach

Unhurried, by design.

Most mobile earwax services work to a tight round. We build the appointment around the person rather than the clock, because for many of our patients the reassurance matters just as much as the procedure.

Time to settle

Your practitioner sits with you first, explains exactly what will happen and waits until you are ready. Nothing begins until you say so. For anyone living with dementia or anxiety, that changes everything.

Gentle, gold-standard care

The same practitioner then carries out gentle micro-suction - the method used in clinics - brought to your armchair or bed. With up to an hour set aside, there is never a reason to rush.

Our services

Everything your ears need, at home.

Earwax check

A thorough earwax check by our trained professionals, with results explained to you and, if you wish, your family.

Earwax removal

Gentle micro-suction by an experienced registered practitioner. Both ears assessed and treated, often with an immediate improvement in hearing.

Assessment & hearing aids

A full diagnostic assessment, personalised hearing-aid selection, fitting and ongoing aftercare.

Who we help

Made for those who need it most.

Older adults at home

Many older people have lost easy access to NHS wax removal. We bring the service to your door.

Care home residents

Ear care can be added to an existing Opticall visit - no need to arrange transport or appointments out.

People living with dementia

Familiar surroundings, a calm practitioner and time to go at your own pace. No unfamiliar clinic, no rushing, and we stop whenever you need us to.

Hearing aid users

Blocked wax is the most common reason hearing aids stop working well. We clear it and check they perform.

People with sensory needs

Anxiety or sensory differences - the visit moves at your pace, with no rush and no pressure.

Limited mobility

If getting to a clinic is hard, we come to you - no transport, no unfamiliar environments.

Pricing

Clear hearing care, with no hidden costs.

“Mum has always been anxious about anything near her ears. She explained every step before she started and simply waited until Mum was ready - there was no rush at all. Doing it at home made all the difference.”

Common questions

Hearing care, answered.

How long does a wax removal visit take?

We set aside up to an hour. Most removals take far less than that, but the extra time means your practitioner can sit with you first, explain each step and move entirely at your pace. Patients living with dementia or anxiety tell us this is the part that matters most.

Can I have an earwax check at the same time as my eye test?

Yes - many people do. Sensory care works best together, so we're happy to combine an earwax check or ear care with your home eye test in a single visit.

Is earwax removal safe at home?

Very. It's carried out by experienced practitioners using gentle micro-suction - the same method used in clinics - through a CQC-registered service, with a follow-up earwax check included.

What does it cost?

An earwax check is free. Earwax removal is £129 per visit and covers up to an hour of your practitioner's time, both ears and a follow-up check - with no extra charge for evenings or weekends. A full audiology assessment is £109, refunded if you buy hearing aids through us.
