OPTICALL’

S COVID-19 PRACTICES FOR RETURNING TO ROUTINE EYE TESTS We want to reassure our local communities that we are truly passionate about delivering outstanding eye care to the elderly, vulnerable and those shielding during this COVID-19 pandemic. We will be resuming our mobile optician services from August 2020, and when we return we will ensure we adhere to the highest safety standards and NHS guidelines.

In light of coronavirus we have made some changes to our working processes so we can continue to provide the highest quality of care, hygiene and safety standards. This will not impact on our comprehensive eye test we carry out to ensure the health of your eyes.

Here are a few of our new processes we have put in place for when we come to do an eye test at your home:

Triage – We will be asking you more questions about your eye health and your general health (in regards to COVID-19 symptoms). We will risk assess each individual situation to ensure everyone is safe.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – When we carry out our eyecare services we will be wearing the recommended PPE to ensure we adhere to strict NHS guidelines and protocol.

Social distancing – Our opticians that do home visits, will ask you to determine the best entrance and exit routes and eye test area to minimise any risks.
